HOW WEB 2.0 IS CHANGING THE WAY WE WORK:
AN INTERVIEW WITH MIT’S ANDREW MCAFEE
Web 2.0 technologies are changing the way companies do business. But can these tools help them achieve their goals? [includes video] See here
We all know that companies like Bertelsmann, RWE and many others are approached by media agencies to build up task forces for a Social Media strategy.
And even NGO´s like the red Cross and other NGO´s are hiring Social Media Managers.
As more and more companies state – the beauty of Social Media is the direct contact a web 2.0 solution can deliver.
On the one hand Social Media can be used for hiring purposes, on the other side for direct response to customers regarding their products and solutions and even Sales. According to techcrunch.com the PC manufacturer Dell.com sold more than 4 Million Dollars in PC and lapotops via their #Twitter Channel !
And the former Hotline is implemented ( sometimes even replaced ) by an Twitter Account or similar services like Amplify or Identi.ca
Immediate response – live search – live web – direct search
Back in the old days communication was: – one way Radio, TV and Newspapers – today the communications moves to email, direct messages via Twitter to direct groups and fan sites on Social Networks like Facebook, XING, LinkedIn and MeinVz / StudiVZ! More interaction, more direct response and ubiquity!
More than 1 billion people will have acces to the web via Mobiles in 2010, so the next tornado market just started.
Is mobile Recruiting the next hype ?
The infracstructure is no “bottleneck ” anymore as more and more people have mobile access to all multimedia and Social Media Networks.
Mr. Kürn ( Recruiting Director ) of from Siemens stated – just a few weeks ago – we do not know if Twitter will stay forever but today we have to be present on that platform
Who will be the first to implement mobile recruiting on their platform?!
